5月初，位于内蒙古自治区兴安盟扎赉特旗境内杏花山上，山杏花漫山遍野地绽放。绚烂的花海与层层梯田交相辉映，宛若世外桃源。站在杏花山眺望嫩江，缤纷的山花与蓝天、碧水合成一幅山川秀美图，引得众多游客慕名而来。
山杏是扎赉特旗的主要野生植被群落，山杏花于每年4月下旬开放，花期为5天—7天。因该旗南部地区山杏花开放比较早，北部开放得相对晚一些，整体观赏期可持续20天左右。(何银龙、白玉亮、包额尔敦)
