中新网北京4月11日电 基多消息：厄瓜多尔前总统科雷亚当地时间10日在社交媒体上说，前副总统格拉斯本周在监狱中试图通过绝食自杀，被送往医院进行紧急救治。
科雷亚表示，格拉斯的子女和律师与格拉斯取得联系，确认他8日被送往医院救治是因为绝食自杀。
据路透社报道，格拉斯已于9日出院并返回监狱。
报道称，格拉斯曾于2013年至2017年担任厄瓜多尔副总统，后两次被判犯有腐败罪，现面临新的指控。
去年12月，格拉斯向墨西哥驻厄大使馆寻求政治庇护。今年4月5日，墨政府正式宣布给予格拉斯政治庇护。厄方认定墨方决定“非法”，要求引渡格拉斯。当天，厄瓜多尔安全部队强闯墨使馆并逮捕了格拉斯。事件发生后，墨西哥宣布与厄瓜多尔断绝外交关系。(完)
